At 10pm tonight, our e-journals will become unavailable for about 1 hour via the e-journal A-Z links, Searcher and the catalogue. This maintenance work is expected to resolve recent instability issues affecting e-journal access.
During this time, please access the journals directly on campus or off campus via the VPN or by adding http://ezproxy.is.ed.ac.uk/login?url= to the front of a url eg for nature journal, the link is http://www.nature.com and then add http://ezproxy.is.ed.ac.uk/login?url= to make it http://ezproxy.is.ed.ac.uk/login?url=http://www.nature.com which will then work off campus. There is also the option to log in off campus via UKFederation/Shibboleth if offered by the publisher.

Cite Them Right will be unavailable between 08:00am and 10:00am on Thursday 12th February. This is due to essential maintenance.
ScienceDirect is currently producing an incorrect error message while on campus or off campus using EZProxy links.
Click “close” to clear the error message and you should find access working correctly. This fault has been reported to ScienceDirect.
Update – this issue is resolved
One of our major e-book providers – Dawsonera is suffering from technical issues relating to downloading e-books for off-line use. E-books can still be read online.
They will post to https://twitter.com/dawsonera when they have updates – they have not been able to provide a time-scale for resolution.

Kikuzo II Visual from Asahi Shimbun Kikuzo will be down for maintenance between 9am and 11am on Tuesday 13th January.
Emerald Insight will be unavailable for up to 2 hours on Friday 9 January 2015, between 23:00 GMT and 03:00 GMT. This affects both e-books and e-journals. If you access the website during this time you will receive a ‘connection timeout’, or similar message, within your browser.
