Dead Sea Scrolls Electronic Library Biblical Texts is on trial until 24th June. It presents a complete Hebrew transcription and English translation of the Biblical texts, together with high-resolution images (scalable). Access is available for all biblical fragments, including photos of the fragments, texts derived from the fragments in Masoretic order (bible books), English translation from the texts on the fragments and full Hebrew Scripture.
Parliament Rolls of Medieval England database is on trial until 20th June. The rolls of parliament were the official records of the meetings of the English parliament from the reign of Edward I (1272 – 1307) until the reign of Henry VII (1485 – 1509), after which they were superseded by the journals of the lords and, somewhat later, of the commons. The rolls, which amount in total to over four million words, were first edited in the eighteenth century and published in 1783 in six folio volumes entitled Rotuli Parliamentorum ( RP ) under the general editorship of the Reverend John Strachey.

Dutch Pamphlets 1486-1853: The Knuttel Collection
The Knuttel Collection at the Koninklijke Bibliotheek, the National Library of the Netherlands, is the most extensive pamphlet collection in the Netherlands. It consist of roughly 34,000 pamphlets ranging from political apologies and manifestos to tracts for and against predestination in theology. Dutch Pamphlets, 1542-1853: The Van Alphen Collection
The Van Alphen collection supplements the Knuttel collection. It comprises some 2,800 pamphlets from Groningen University Library not included in the Knuttel collection. Flugschriften des 16. Jahrhunderts
The Flugschriften series contains some 11,000 German and Latin pamphlets printed in the Holy Roman Empire. The collection is supplemented on an annual basis. The pamphlets from 1501-1530 are primarily concerned with the early Reformation movement and its propaganda, the Peasants’ War, the threat presented by the Turks, and the various conflicts among the Western European countries. The pamphlets from 1531-1600 deal with a broad spectrum of themes, such as the Turkish wars, the revolt of the Netherlands, the persecution of French protestants, the status of Calvinists and Zwinglians in the Holy Roman Empire, the Council of Trent, the Anabaptist Kingdom of Münster, the Schmalkaldic War and the Interim, propaganda against the papacy and the Jesuits, intra-Protestant theological quarrels, the building of confessional networks, witch-hunting, and anti-Jewish polemics.

We now subscribe to JSTOR Arts & Sciences XIII and Arts & Sciences XIV packages.
The Arts & Sciences XIII Collection adds an increasingly international set of journals in disciplines including Language & Literature, Art & Art History, Philosophy, and Religion. Represented subdisciplines include European church history and the literature of the American West. The collection offers a global scope. European countries including Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands each contribute several titles, with an additional title published in South Korea, the Journal of Korean Religions. The collection will contain at least 125 titles by completion.
The Arts & Sciences XIV Collection brings together more than 125 journals devoted to the study of culture and communication, from civilization’s earliest traces to the growth and governance of peoples. All titles are new to the JSTOR platform at the time of launch. Journals in the collection span 17 countries, 23 disciplines, and date back to 1839. They are drawn primarily from the fields of Archaeology, Language & Literature, Communications Studies, Asian Studies, and Political Science. As this collection was only released last month, not all titles are online yet – these will be added to our catalogue/A-Z list as they become available.

Acland’s video atlas of human anatomy – until 14th April
This newer version of Acland’s video atlas provides an online platform for accessing more than 300 narrated videos of real cadaver specimens. The detailed table of contents for each video allows you to go directly to specific points of relevance inside each video. PDF transcripts for each video can be downloaded. Videos can be bookmarked for teaching a learning activities. Self-test quizzes are available for revision and exam preparation, with revision links in the answer for each question.
Church Missionary Society Periodicals Collection – until 30th April
From its roots as an Anglican evangelical movement driven by lay persons, this resource encompasses publications from the CMS and the latterly integrated South American Missionary Society. Documenting missionary work from the 19th to the 21st century, the periodicals include news, journals and reports offering a unique perspective on global history and cultural encounter. *Please note that PDF download options are not available during trials.
Enhanced Electronic Grammars – An Advanced Research Tool for Linguistics- until 19th May
Enhanced Electronic Grammars (EEG) features comprehensive descriptions of languages from around the world. Through this unique online resource, full grammars are made available together in an interlinked and semantically-annotated format, allowing granular access to the grammatical data and enabling cross-language research of several grammars at the same time. In addition to cross-linguistic queries, each grammar can also be read and researched individually. The electronic format allows for multimodal enhancement of language descriptions, such as audio and video supplements.

Political Science Complete provides extensive coverage of global political topics with a worldwide focus, reflecting the globalisation of contemporary political discourse. The database gives you access to nearly 340 full-text reference books and monographs and more than 44,000 full-text conference papers, which includes those from the International Political Science Association. Subjects covered include comparative politics, humanitarian issues, international relations, law and legislation, non-governmental organizations and political theory.
Prosopographie der mittelbyzantinischen Zeit – until 30th April
The Prosopographie der mittelbyzantinischen Zeit Online/Prosopography of the Middle Byzantine Period Online (PMBZ Online) is a comprehensive biographical dictionary for the Byzantine Empire in the early Medieval Period (641-1025 AD) documenting more than 21,000 persons. PMBZ Online is based on the print edition of the Prosopographie der mittelbyzantinischen Zeit which appeared in two parts 1998 and 2013. PMBZ Online documents all persons mentioned either by name or anonymously in the relevant Byzantine and non-Byzantine sources, and secondly all persons mentioned in the Byzantine sources both from Western Europe and from the Arabic and Slavonic areas, together with those from the Christian East.
SIPRI Yearbook Online – until 30th April
The SIPRI Yearbook, written by authors who are experts in their field, is known worldwide as an essential and independent source for issues on armaments and arms control, conflicts and resolutions, security arrangements and disarmament, as well as longer-term trends in international security. SIPRI Yearbook Online offers access to the SIPRI Yearbooks published from 2010 and onwards, all available on one, easy-to-use and fully cross-searchable resource.
