More Wiley E-Books now available

We have signed up for a one year deal with Wiley publishing which gives access to most of their e-book content on Wiley Interscience.  At the end of the deal, some of these titles will be retained permanently.

We have loaded 19,556 e-book records across all subject disciplines to DiscoverEd and will continue to add further titles on a monthly basis.  Click the image link below to start browsing your subject area!

Academic Search Complete now available

We have upgraded our Academic Search Premier subscription to Academic Search Complete.

The Academic Search Complete multi-disciplinary database provides full text for more than 8,500 journals, including full text for more than  7,300 peer-reviewed titles. In addition to full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for more than 12,500 journals and a total of more than 13,200 publications including monographs, reports, conference proceedings, etc. The database features PDF content going back as far as 1887, with the majority of full text titles in native (searchable) PDF format. Searchable cited references are provided for more than 1,400 journals.  Academic Search Complete offers access to video content from the Associated Press, the world’s leading news agency. Videos relevant to the search terms will appear in a carousel in the result list. With footage from 1930 to the present and updated monthly, this collection of more than 60,000 videos covers a wide variety of topics.

Trial access to IndiaStat

We have on campus access to IndiaStat until 11th December.  This resource has been added to the e-resources trials webpage.

Capture2IndiaStat provides India-specific socio-economic statistical facts and figures from various secondary level authentic sources. Includes 19 sector specific information including industry, education, health, banks and financial institutions, companies, co-operatives, crime and law, population, foreign trade, labour and workforce, housing, media, power, transport, urban-rural.  Provides socio-economic information on 31 Indian states and union territories.  Provides comprehensive information on 6 main geographical regions of India.  Data and statistics about India available on Indiastat.com can easily be downloaded in MS-Word/Excel/ HTML formats.

To access the site, click on the Login tab at the top banner of the site and select the IP Login option.

Trial access to IBIS World

We have trial access to IBISWorld until 4th December.  Update : Subscription started January 2016.

IBISWorld is an online industry intelligence solution. Covering 432 UK industries at SIC L5, each of its industry reports provides the most detailed performance data and analysis on the market; supply chain information; forecasts; risk scores; operating strengths and weaknesses; analysis of external drivers; major player market strategies; and industry profit and costs benchmarks. Reports are updated three times per year on average ensuring the most up to date research possible.

In addition to coursework/assignments, these reports would be of use to students researching industries for placements, future careers (including start up research) and interview preparation.
