JSTOR – Arts and Science XV available
We now subscribe to the Arts and Science XV package from JSTOR. Arts & Sciences XV has extensive coverage in the humanities, social sciences and sciences, including literature, film, art, music, religion, classical studies, history, education, economics, political science, and sociology.
This collection currently has 81 titles, it will have more than 150 titles by 2018. See a list of the available titles here. These have been added to DiscoverEd. As further titles are made available by JSTOR, these will automatically be added to DiscoverEd.

Africa Wide Information – database trial
The Library has set up trial access to Africa Wide Information (Ebsco) until 30th June.
Africa-Wide Information comprises an aggregation of 50 databases sourced from Africa, Europe and North America. Africa-Wide provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary information which documents research and publications by Africans and about Africa.
Africa-Wide covers close to 4 million news articles, scholarly publications articles, books, reports, theses, citations, and grey literature. Records include article abstracts and some full text with keyword indexing to enhance relevant retrieval. The coverage is comprehensive from the 18th century to current and dates back to the 16th century. Africa-Wide Information is an essential resource for those with an interest in African research and publications and for those doing research in an African context, no matter the subject field.

Arkyves – new subscription
Following a successful trial last year, we now subscribe to Arkyves.
Arkyves: A Reference tool for the History of Culture is a database, treasure trove and toolbox for those interested in the History of Culture. It is a single access point for thematic searches across a wide variety of cultural heritage collections, contributed by partners like the Dutch Rijksmuseum, the Netherlands Institute for Art History, the Herzog August Bibliothek, and the university libraries of Milan, Utrecht, Glasgow, and Illinois. Ordering and re-ordering motifs, themes, stories and iconographic details in kaleidoscopic fashion, Arkyves will make you find many things you did not realize you were looking for.

E-Resource Trial – Arkyves

Access Arkyves on campus or off campus via the VPN until the 31st October. Click the login box at the top right of the Arkyves website to enter the database. This database has also been added to DiscoverEd for the duration of the trial.
