We have increased our e-book holdings with the following providers.
Dawsonera
We have added a further 44 titles to the Dawsonera platform. A list of the new titles is available here and these have all been added to our catalogue.
EBL – Ebook Library
We have added a further 72 titles to the EBL platform. A list of the new titles is available here and these have all been added to our catalogue.
Ebsco & MyILibrary 
A further 55 e-books have been added to the Ebsco and MyILibrary platforms over the last couple of months. A list of the new titles is here and these have been added to our catalogue.
A further 426 e-books in a variety of subject areas are now available on the Palgrave Connect website. The individual titles have been added to our catalogue and the list of new titles can be browsed here.

SAGE Research Methods – new e-resource
We now subscribe to SAGE Research Methods. This provides access to 700+ e-books, encyclopaedias, videos and journal articles. SAGE Research Methods supports beginning and advanced researchers in every step of a research project, from writing a research question, choosing a method, gathering and analyzing data, to writing up and publishing the findings. With information on the full range of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods for the social and behavioral sciences, as well as many methods commonly used in the hard sciences, the book, reference, and journal content in SAGE Research Methods help researchers of all levels conduct their research.
A list of the individual e-books, reference works and videos can be accessed here and are in the process of being added to our catalogue.
SAGE Research Methods has been added to both our database A-Z list and e-books A-Z list.
New E-Book Collections – August
We have recently purchased 3 new e-book collections. The individual titles are in the process of being added to our catalogue but links to the collections are available from the e-book A-Z list.
Access Engineering
Access Engineering provides access to over 200 engineering reference sources; 5,000 interactive graphs and downloadable tables and charts; personalization tools; instructional videos. Includes Perry’s Chemical Engineers Handbook, Marks Standard Handbook for Mechanical Engineers, Roark’s Formulas for Stress and Strain, Standard Handbook for Electrical Engineers.
Casalini e-books package
The Casalini full text platform (Torrossa) provides access to a selection of 1,867 scholarly e-books from Italian and Spanish academic publishers since 2000 for Edinburgh University 
users. The collection consists of 1,188 titles on Italian studies and Italian literature and 679 titles on Spanish studies. The books are in Italian or Spanish and can be either downloaded or viewed online in PDF format (it is necessary to disable pop-up blockers on your web browser and also in your Google tool bar if applicable). The e-book collection is fully searchable, including by words in the full text. Click here to get a full list of the e-book titles.
Wageningen Academic Publishers
We now have access to the e-books published between 2002 and 2014 on the Wageningen Academic Publishers platform. Main subject areas include Animal & Veterinary Science, Environmental & Plant Science, Food Science and Social Science.

July E-Book News
We have increased our e-book holdings with the following providers.
123Library
We added a further 259 books to 123Library. Lists of the new titles are here. These are in the process of being added to our catalogue but they can be accessed online via the E-book A-Z list.
Cambridge University Press
We added a further 185 e-books to Cambridge Books Online. A list of the new titles is available here and these have all been added to our catalogue.
Dawsonera
We have added a further 107 title to the Dawsonera platform. A list of the new titles is available here and these have all been added to our catalogue.
EastView
We have added to our existing collections on the Eastview platform with the purchase of Kotobarabia: Arab Leaders, Historians and Philosophers collection. This contains approximately 5,000 titles from nearly 1,000 important Arab thinkers, philosophers, historians, politicians, and 
theologians in the Arab world. Topics cover feminism, modern medicine, political reforms, including the Orabi Revolution, education, arts, religion, and more. The collection includes works by the Four Imams of the Sunni Sect, the Al Azhar Modern Sheikhs; various authors of the Modern Arab Enlightenment, and rare works by the former Egyptian royal family.

IET Digital Library
A further 24 e-books have been added to our existing holdings on the IET platform. The new titles are listed here.
Oxford University Press
We now have access to Very Short Introductions – Social Science collection. See the SPS blog for full information.
Wiley Online Library
We have signed a new deal with Wiley which gives us access to 2013 and 2014 published e-books in all subject areas. Our catalogue will be regularly updated as new titles are published. The titles that we have access to can be browsed here. Older titles that the library has already purchased are available too.
Service interruption for ScienceDirect – July 26
The ScienceDirect platform will be unavailable for 30 minutes of scheduled maintenance on Saturday, July 26 from 12:00 BST until 12:30 BST. It is also possible that you may experience service disruptions such as slower response times and unexpected outages throughout the day. Elsevier apologise in advance for any inconvenience.
Trial ending Thursday 17th July

Wiley Online Library access restored
Access has been restored to our e-books and e-journals accessed via the Wiley Online Library platform.
Wiley Online Library website down
All e-books and e-journals accessed via the Wiley Online Library platform are currently unavailable due to an unforeseen technical issue.
Wiley hope to restore access as soon as possible but have given no timescale. We will update you once we have more information.

Dawsonera access resolved
Our Dawsonera e-books are fully available again. Dawsonera apologise for the unplanned downtime which was caused by a large increase in web traffic to their web site.
