Trial – Archaeopress

ArchaeopresslogoWe have trial access to Archaeopress E-books until 28th October.  Access on or off campus via the username and password listed on our password webpage (use EASE to access this).

Archaeopress digital subscription service currently includes over 300 archaeology e-book titles, including British Archaeological Reports. Around 10-15 new files are added each month.

Trial – Defining Gender, 1450-1910

logoWe have trial access to Defining Gender, 1450-1910 until 23rd October on campus or via the VPN.

Defining Gender includes a broad range of thematically organised documents from 21 libraries providing an excellent opportunity for comparative study and research. Manuscripts, printed works and illustrations combine to address the key issues from both masculine and feminine perspectives. They are indexed to provide ready accessibility for students by person and subject across all five sections.

Trial – Loeb Classical Library Online

We have trial access to the Loeb Classical Library Online for 2 months.

The Digital Loeb Classical Library contains more than 520 volumes of Latin, Greek and English texts aiming to be a virtual library of all that is important in Greek and Latin Literature, epic and lyric poetry, history, travel, philosophy and oratory, medical writers and mathematicians, and the Church Fathers who make particular use of pagan culture. Readers can browse, search, bookmark, annotate and use a Greek keyboard.

We have trial access to 19th Century Masterfile  database which contains over 8 million citations and over 60 indexes covering books, newspapers, patents and government documents published during the 19th and early 20th centuries.  Further info about the database contents is at http://paratext.com/pdf/2014ncmcontentlist.pdf

From Adam Matthew we have two databases on trial.

These 2 databases make available British Foreign Office files dealing with China, Hong Kong and Adam Matthew logoTaiwan between 1957 and 1980.  We already subscribe to content between 1949 and 1956.

From North Waterloo Academic Press we have 1 database on trial.
