On Friday the 5th October 2012, The Benefits of Sharing project gathered together forty staff to talk about the library management systems. The staff came from a variety of backgrounds including Jisc (the project funder), library service directors, systems librarians, and internal power-users of the LMS such as acquisitions and cataloguing staff. We were kindly hosted by the University of Stirling, and expertly guided by our facilitators Stephanie Taylor and Sheila Cannell.
The day was split into several sections, and was concluded by a poll to judge whether we thought we could and/or should run a shared LMS in Scotland in the future. The following blog posts describe the story…
