Roper iPoll and Health Poll Database – on trial

Thanks to a request from staff in SPS the Library currently has short-term trial access to both Roper iPoll and Health Poll Database.

Roper iPoll

The Roper Center for Public Opinion Research is one of the world’s leading archives of social science data, specialising in data from surveys of public opinion. The data held by the Roper Center range from the 1930s to the present. Most of the data are from the United States, but over 50 nations are represented. You can search for datasets by keyword, country, surveying agency, timeframe and type of sample.

Health Poll Database

The Health Poll database is the most comprehensive database for health-related U.S. survey questions, covering eighty years of national polling. Searchable questions and results, demographic crosstabs, and trends are available on every topic related to health, from social determinants and influences on health to insurance, costs and health-care utilization.
