We now have access to Past Masters Commons, a growing series of important texts and translations that present the history of philosophy and thought.
A number of new works will be added in the course of 2017. However, the following are now available:
Collected works of Chauncey Wright (1830-1875), American mathematician, philosopher, co-founder of The Metaphysical Club and defender of Charles Darwin.
Disputationes Metaphysicae of the Spanish Jesuit, philosopher and theologian, Francisco Suarez (1548-1617).
Plotinus’ Enneads (3rd century) in English translation.
The Complete Works in English translation of Montesquieu (1689-1755), an Age of Enlightenment lawyer, political philosopher and man of letters.
All accessible at here and through the Library’s database A-Z.
Coming later in 2017: Dugald Stewart and Charles Sanders Pierce.
