African Newspapers, Series 1 1800-1922<\/a>*<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thanks to a request from the <a href=\"http:\/\/uncover-ed.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UncoverEd<\/a> project team, I&#8217;m pleased to let you know that the Library currently has trial access to two digital newspaper collections, <strong>African Newspapers, Series 1<\/strong> and <strong>South Asian Newspapers<\/strong>, from Readex. Featuring English-, Gujarati- and Bengali-language papers published in India, in the regions of the Subcontinent that now comprise Pakistan, and in Ceylon (now Sri Lanka),\u00a0<strong>South Asian Newspapers<\/strong>\u00a0offers extensive coverage of the people, issues and events that shaped the Indian Subcontinent between 1864 and 1922.
