{"id":1259,"date":"2016-03-29T11:09:31","date_gmt":"2016-03-29T11:09:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/libraryblogs.is.ed.ac.uk\/spslibrarian\/?p=1259"},"modified":"2016-03-29T11:11:18","modified_gmt":"2016-03-29T11:11:18","slug":"historical-statistics-of-the-united-states-on-trial","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/libraryblogs.is.ed.ac.uk\/spslibrarian\/2016\/03\/29\/historical-statistics-of-the-united-states-on-trial\/","title":{"rendered":"Historical Statistics of the United States on trial"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Library currently has trial access to the<em><strong> Historical Statistics of the United States: Millennial Edition Online<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/libraryblogs.is.ed.ac.uk\/spslibrarian\/files\/2016\/03\/Historical_Statistics_United_States.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1264\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1264\" src=\"http:\/\/libraryblogs.is.ed.ac.uk\/spslibrarian\/files\/2016\/03\/Historical_Statistics_United_States.jpg\" alt=\"Historical_Statistics_United_States\" width=\"243\" height=\"72\" \/><\/a>Historical Statistics of the United States (HSUS)\u00a0is a compendium of statistics about the United States and is the standard source for the quantitative facts of American history.<\/p>\n<p>The Library already holds the print edition of <em>Historical Statistics of the United States<\/em> which you can find in<strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/discovered.ed.ac.uk\/44UOE_VU1:default_scope:44UOE_ALMA21108798140002466\" target=\"_blank\">DiscoverEd<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The online edition is fully searchable and has features that allow you to save search criteria, search within a chapter or volume, bookmark tables, view tables in PDF or HTML format, select certain years or series of years to view, create charts and graphs and much more.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note that during the trial period you will only be able to download and email tables, and view PDFs, in Part A: Population.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can access the resource via the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ed.ac.uk\/information-services\/library-museum-gallery\/finding-resources\/library-databases\/e-resources-trials\" target=\"_blank\">e-resources trials page<\/a><\/strong>.
