BoB enables all staff and students to record any upcoming programme from over 60 TV and radio channels. It also allow users to search a growing archive of media (currently more than 1 million programmes).<\/p>\n<p>We, the Main Library Helpdesk staff, are running 2 BoB sessions, as part of our pop-up library events. Please \u2018pop up\u2019 to the 1<sup>st<\/sup> floor, Main Library, to discover more about BoB National.<\/p>\n<p>The 2 sessions will be on:<\/p>\n<p>Thursday 2 Oct 2pm &#8211; 4pm<br \/>\nThursday 16 Oct 10am &#8211; 12noon<\/p>\n<p>We will demonstrate how to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>access this service<\/li>\n<li>choose and record upcoming programmes<\/li>\n<li>request missed programmes from a 30 day buffer<\/li>\n<li>edit programmes into clips<\/li>\n<li>search BBC and other archives<\/li>\n<li>create playlists<\/li>\n<li>and much more!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Detailed information about this service is available at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ed.ac.uk\/is\/bob\">www.ed.ac.uk\/is\/bob<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Rong Flynn, Helpdesk Assistant, Main Libary<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The University subscribes to BoB (Box of Broadcasts) National to help enrich teaching and learning with moving image and sound.
