{"id":96,"date":"2016-07-29T15:50:47","date_gmt":"2016-07-29T14:50:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/libraryblogs.is.ed.ac.uk\/phddigitisation\/?p=96"},"modified":"2016-07-29T15:50:47","modified_gmt":"2016-07-29T14:50:47","slug":"first-batch-of-digitised-theses-available-on-era","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/libraryblogs.is.ed.ac.uk\/phddigitisation\/2016\/07\/29\/first-batch-of-digitised-theses-available-on-era\/","title":{"rendered":"First batch of digitised theses available on ERA!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are pleased to announce that the first batch of approximately 80 PhD theses is now available online through <a href=\"http:\/\/www.era.lib.ed.ac.uk\">ERA<\/a>, our online institutional repository! <a href=\"https:\/\/www.era.lib.ed.ac.uk\/handle\/1842\/15956\">https:\/\/www.era.lib.ed.ac.uk\/handle\/1842\/15956<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The theses have initially been uploaded in a bulk import and will be redistributed by cataloguing staff to appropriate collections before the next upload in August.They all date from 1900 to the present day and include handwritten and typewritten PhDs; all typed theses have been OCR-ed and are searchable by keyword.<\/p>\n<p>The collection covers a broad range of academic subjects, ranging from explorations of disease through to microbiology, chemistry and histories of the Middle East.
