As the New College Librarian, my role is to help students get the most out of using the Library. Freshers Week is a good opportunity to take a little time to get to know the Library &#8211; do this now and you\u2019ll be paid back later on in your studies.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s my top tips for Postgraduate Freshers to get to know New College Library:<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a01. Come to the Library<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bring your University card to get into New College Library<\/li>\n<li>From next week the Library is open 9am-6pm-10 Mon-Thurs, 9am-5pm Fridays,\u00a012noon &#8211; 5pm on Saturdays. Remember that you can also use the Main Library which is open longer at weekends<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2. Take a tour<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I&#8217;m running Postgraduate Library Tours today 10.45-12 noon<\/li>\n<li>You should have received a New College Library Guide leaflet in your welcome pack\u00a0 &#8211; it&#8217;s also available <a title=\"New College Library Guide\" href=\"http:\/\/www.docs.is.ed.ac.uk\/docs\/Libraries\/New_College\/NCLGuide_2013_14.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">online<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Or have a look at the <a title=\"Virtual Tour\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ed.ac.uk\/schools-departments\/information-services\/services\/library-museum-gallery\/finding-resources\/subject-guides\/divinity\/newcoll-virtual-tour\/newcoll-tourhttp:\/\/\" target=\"_blank\">Virtual Tour<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>3.
