{"id":102,"date":"2012-05-31T08:52:11","date_gmt":"2012-05-31T08:52:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newcollegelibrarian.wordpress.com\/?p=102"},"modified":"2012-05-31T08:52:11","modified_gmt":"2012-05-31T08:52:11","slug":"new-college-theses-collection-now-fully-catalogued-online","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/libraryblogs.is.ed.ac.uk\/newcollegelibrarian\/2012\/05\/31\/new-college-theses-collection-now-fully-catalogued-online\/","title":{"rendered":"New College Theses collection now fully catalogued online"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over 700 New College theses covering the period 1920-1985 have now been catalogued online as part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ed.ac.uk\/schools-departments\/information-services\/services\/library-museum-gallery\/finding-resources\/subject-guides\/divinity\/news\">Funk Cataloguing Projects<\/a>.\u00a0 Some of these theses have second\u00a0 copies at the main Library, but many others are unique copies only held in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ed.ac.uk\/schools-departments\/information-services\/services\/library-museum-gallery\/using-library\/lib-locate\/newcoll-lib\">New College Library<\/a>. The completion of this project means that all of New College Library&#8217;s theses are now listed on the <a href=\"http:\/\/catalogue.lib.ed.ac.uk\/vwebv\/searchBasic?sk=en_US\">University of Edinburgh Library&#8217;s online catalogue<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/libraryblogs.is.ed.ac.uk\/newcollegelibrarian\/files\/2012\/05\/theses1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-119\" title=\"New College Theses\" src=\"http:\/\/libraryblogs.is.ed.ac.uk\/newcollegelibrarian\/files\/2012\/05\/theses1.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/libraryblogs.is.ed.ac.uk\/newcollegelibrarian\/files\/2012\/05\/theses1.jpg 800w, https:\/\/libraryblogs.is.ed.ac.uk\/newcollegelibrarian\/files\/2012\/05\/theses1-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Theses\u00a0collection demonstrates the richness\u00a0and diversity of <a title=\"School of Divinity Research - Overview\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ed.ac.uk\/schools-departments\/divinity\/research\/overview\">Divinity research<\/a> in the twentieth century, with topics ranging from\u00a0 the Buddhist conception of Man in relation to the Christian conception, to the Church in Shetland during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries &#8211; to pick just a few.
