Star Event"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Friday 28th February, over 100 guests attended an event at the Geological Society in London&#8217;s Mayfair to celebrate the University&#8217;s successful campaign to buy the Charles Lyell notebooks.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-63 aligncenter\" David McClay, Philanthropy Manager for the Library and University Collections team, introduced the speakers: Richard Hughes, Executive Secretary, Geological Society of London, and Professor David
