The Library currently has trial access to two databases from Gale Cengage, British Newspapers Part V<\/strong> and Post-War Europe: Refugees, Exile and Resettlement, 1945-1950<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

You can access both of these online archives via the E-resources trials<\/strong><\/a> page. Access is available both on and off-campus.<\/p>\n

Both trials end on 30th November 2016.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Post-War Europe: Refugees, Exile and Resettlement, 1945-1950<\/strong>.<\/h2>\n

Part of Archives Unbound, Post-War Europe: Refugees, Exile and Resettlement, 1945-1950<\/strong> is an online collection of primary source materials from the holdings of the Wiener Library, London and The National Archives in the UK which supports research and teaching of post-World War II Europe. \u00a0This unique archive covers the international politics leading the administration, care, repatriation and emigration of the Displaced Persons (DPs) as well as the plight of the survivors, both Jews and non-Jews, of the Holocaust and World War II, and their reintroduction to life and community.<\/p>\n

The Library already subscribes to 9 other collections via Archives Unbound, you can access these through the Databases A-Z list<\/a>.<\/p>\n

British Newspapers Part V (1746-1950)<\/h2>\n

\"IF\"<\/p>\n

The Library already subscribes to parts I \u2013 IV of the British Library Newspapers<\/strong> series. Part V<\/strong> concentrates on titles from the northern part of the United Kingdom, doubling coverage in Scotland but also including new titles from the North and the Midlands. Part V includes the Coventry Herald<\/em>, which features some of the earliest published writing of Mary Ann Evans (better known as George Eliot).<\/p>\n

The Library already subscribes to a large number of digital newspaper archives, including British Library Newspapers Parts I-IV<\/strong>. These can be accessed on the Newspapers databases<\/strong><\/a> page, along with databases that give access to current newspapers.<\/p>\n

The two trials mentioned can be accessed via e-resources trials<\/a><\/strong>.
