Over the summer the Library was able to purchase the British Politics and Society<\/strong><\/em> collection, part of Nineteenth Century Collections Online (NCCO) <\/em>from Gale Cengage. This is a major new resource for the Library and provides a fascinating look at this period of great change.<\/p>\n

British Politics and Society<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 brings together primary source documentation, allowing a greater understanding and analysis of the development of urban centers and of the major restructuring of society that took place during the Industrial Revolution.<\/p>\n

You can access\u00a0Nineteenth Century Collections Online: British Politics and Society<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<\/span>via the\u00a0<\/span>Databases A-Z<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The materials in the collection allow for an\u00a0in-depth examination and analysis of the growing calls for political reform that were met with state resistance and marked a crisis of legitimacy for both the government and the reform movements themselves.<\/p>\n

British Politics and Society<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<\/span>is\u00a0composed of a number of individual collections, drawn together from a variety of sources. Collections include:<\/p>\n
