You can also access the individual magazine titles via <a href=\"https:\/\/discovered.ed.ac.uk\/primo-explore\/search?vid=44UOE_VU2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DiscoverEd<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Consumer magazines aimed at a female readership are recognised as critical primary sources through which to interpret multiple aspects of 19th and 20th-century history and culture. Archival issues, however, have previously been difficult to locate and navigate. <!--more-->Available in two separate collections, <strong>Women\u2019s Magazine Archive<\/strong> provides access to the backfiles of the foremost North American titles of this type. In combination, the publications in this resource cover topics such as family life, home economics, health, careers, fashion, culture, and many more; this material serves multiple research areas, from gender studies, social history, and the arts, through to education, politics and marketing\/media history.<\/p>\n<p>Titles included are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Better Homes and Gardens<\/em> (1922-2005)<\/li>\n<li><em>Chatelaine<\/em> (1928-2005)<\/li>\n<li><em>Cosmopolitan<\/em> (1886-1925)<\/li>\n<li><em>Essence<\/em> (1970-2005)<\/li>\n<li><em>Good Housekeeping<\/em> (1885-2005)<\/li>\n<li><em>Ladies&#8217; Home Journal<\/em> (1885-2005)<\/li>\n<li><em>Parents<\/em> (1926-2005)<\/li>\n<li><em>Redbook<\/em> (1903-2005)<\/li>\n<li><em>Seventeen<\/em> (1944-2005)<\/li>\n<li><em>Town &amp; Country<\/em> (1846-2005)<\/li>\n<li><em>WIN News<\/em> (1975-2003)<\/li>\n<li><em>Woman&#8217;s Day<\/em> (1937-2005)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can access the <strong>Women&#8217;s Magazine Archive<\/strong> via the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ed.ac.uk\/information-services\/library-museum-gallery\/finding-resources\/library-databases\/databases-a-z\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Databases A-Z list <\/a><\/strong>or the <a href=\"https:\/\/edinburgh-uk.libguides.com\/newspapers-magazines\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Newspapers, magazines and other news sources guide<\/strong><\/a>.
