On the HCA Librarian blog<\/a> I have highlighted new resources or material that have been purchased for the Library’s collections from requests from students or staff in the School of History, Classics and Archaeology.<\/p>\n

However, new resources purchased from requests from other schools in the College of Humanities & Social Sciences and beyond may also be of interest to HCA students and staff. I generally tweet<\/a> about these but I thought I’d put a quick post together just to highlight some of these resources.<\/p>\n

Nikkei Telecom 21 (\u65e5\u7d4c\u30c6\u30ec\u30b3\u30f3) is a reputable newspaper database in business and economics from Japan…This is an essential resource for various kinds of studies such as economics, politics, sociology and Japanese language. It gives access to a great number of Nikkei newspaper articles from 1975 to the present. –> Find out more<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Past Masters: The Collected Works of John Dewey, 1882-1953<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Contains 38 volumes from the American philosopher, psychologist and educational reformer, John Dewey. –> Find out more<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Ancient commentators on Aristotle<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The Library is in the process of obtaining the complete collection of these\u00a0ancient Greek commentaries on Aristotle, which were\u00a0originally\u00a0gathered together and edited in the series Commentaria in Aristotelem Graeca (CAG)<\/em>. –> Find out more<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Periodical Archives Online – additional titles added<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Thanks to funding from\u00a0<\/span>JISC Collections, we have access to 50 archival e-journals in the humanities and social sciences subject areas. –> Find out more<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

University Press Scholarship Online – new e-books added<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

UPSO provides access to over 15,000 key titles across over 25 subject areas in the humanities, social sciences, sciences, medicine, and law. A large range of new titles have been added to our collections. –> Find out more<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Oxford Handbooks Online – new content added<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The Library has purchased some new e-book collections to add to the collections already available to students and staff, including collections covering Archaeology, Classical Studies and History. –> Find out more<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Access to\u00a0<\/strong>most of these resources* is only available to current students and members of staff at the University of Edinburgh.<\/p>\n
