Illustrated London News, December 22, 1855; Issue 775 and 776 Christmas (Supplement).<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The <em>Illustrated London News<\/em> gives you a different perspective on events happening during 1842-2003 and provides a valuable alternative voice to other newspaper archives the Library already has access to for that period e.g. <strong>The Times Digital Archive<\/strong>, <strong>The Guardian and The Observer<\/strong> <strong>Historical Archive<\/strong>, <strong>The Scotsman<\/strong> <strong>Historical Archive<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong> Daily Mail Historical Archive<\/strong>, <strong>The New York Times<\/strong> <strong>Historical Archive<\/strong>, etc. You can access these databases and the many more that are available via the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ed.ac.uk\/information-services\/library-museum-gallery\/finding-resources\/library-databases\/databases-subject-a-z\/database-newspapers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Newspapers &amp; Magazines databases list<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>You can cross-search\u00a0<strong>The Illustrated London News Historical Archive<\/strong> along with the other newspaper archives we have access to from Gale, via Gale\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/ezproxy.is.ed.ac.uk\/login?url=http:\/\/find.galegroup.com\/dvnw\/start.do?prodid=DVNW&amp;userGroupName=ed_itw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NewsVault<\/a>.
