We have researched each of the names and found out something further about most of them.<\/p>\n<p>At this time and for some time to come, the Union was an all male affair. Medical graduate: MBChB 1899, MD 1902. Served as Major in the Royal Army Medical Corps.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Francis Mitchell Caird (1853-1926)<\/strong><br \/>\nLater Professor of Clinical Medicine.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr Richard J A Berry<\/strong><br \/>\nLecturer in Anatomy. Medical graduate: MBChB 1891, MD 1894.<\/p>\n<p><strong>John Rankine (1846-1922)<\/strong><br \/>\nProfessor of Scots Law.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hugh Nethersole Fletcher<\/strong><strong> (1877-1962)<\/strong><br \/>\nMedical graduate: MBChB 1903, MD 1909. Served as Captain in the Royal Army Medical Corps (Territorial).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hugh Crichton Miller (1877-1959)<\/strong><br \/>\nPsychotherapist and founder of the Tavistock Clinic. Arts and Medical graduate: MA 1899, MBChB 1900, MD 1902. Served as Lieutenant, then Major, Royal Army Medical Corps.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Harry Malcolm Mackenzie (c1872-1947)<\/strong><br \/>\nMedical graduate: MBChB 1899. Served as Lieutenant, then Major, then Lieutenant Colonel, Indian Medical Service.<\/p>\n<p><strong>James Walker ( -1922)<\/strong><br \/>\nChartered Accountant. Honorary Treasurer to the University Union<\/p>\n<p><strong>Samuel Butcher (1850-1910)<br \/>\n<\/strong>Professor of Greek.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr Francis William Nicol Haultain (1861-1921)<br \/>\n<\/strong>Obstetrician and Gynaecologist.
