Have you ever met Jordan, the Library Cat<\/a>? What if there was another furry animal in the Library, maybe not as alive, but nonetheless as interesting?<\/p>\n

The Main Library\u2019s newest Fringe Festival exhibition opens on Friday 31st<\/sup> July 2015, featuring Dolly, the sheep!<\/p>\n

Showcasing not only Dolly herself (on loan courtesy of National Museums Scotland<\/a>), but also rare books, archive documents, pictures, sound and film clips from the University of Edinburgh\u2019s Special Collections, presenting all the research that eventually led to the creation of Dolly, the first animal in the world to be cloned from an adult cell.<\/p>\n

\u201cDolly is the most famous chapter in Edinburgh\u2019s long genetics history. This exhibition tells the wider story of the many pioneering discoveries which have taken place here, taking our visitors \u2018towards Dolly\u2019 and beyond.<\/em>\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

We, here at the Library Annexe, are happy to be able to contribute with a few books from our collections. These are:<\/p>\n
