The Library has recently purchased the online archive to the journal Proceedings of the Prehistoric Society, covering the period 1935 (volume 1) until 2009 (volume 75).

The Library already has current online access to the Proceedings of the Prehistoric Society, covering the years 2010 (volume 76) onwards. So the purchase of the archive ensures the Library has full access to the entire run of this important journal in prehistoric research.

You can access both the archive and current access via DiscoverEd.

Note that the Library also has access to the online archive of the predecessor title of Proceedings of the Prehistoric Society, Proceedings of the Prehistoric Society of East Anglia (published between 1911 and 1934). This can also be accessed via DiscoverEd.

Additionaly, the Library holds Proceedings of the Prehistoric Society in print from 1935 (Vol. 1) – 2014 (Vol. 80) and these are shelved on the 4th floor of the Main Library. Check the record for the print journal in DiscoverEd for the shelfmark and a note of some missing volumes.

Access is only available to current students and staff at the University of Edinburgh.
